i want to know how to determine maximum and minimum values from an objective function from a set of constraints using microsoft excel. please help...How to solve linear programming problems using microsoft excel?
You can use Excel's Solver to do that.


Assuming you're using Excel 2007,





1. Click Office button-%26gt;Excel options-%26gt;Add-ins-%26gt;Go.


2. Add the ';Solver-Add in';. Click Ok.


3. The solver addin should install.


4. Click on ';Data'; ribbon and look for the ';Solver'; command.


5. You should be able to set constraints to find the min and max for many optimization problems.
