How to find the value of a Mammoth tusk?

it seems genuine, but i'm not sure of the value. it's between two and three feet long with a engraving in the center of it. is it worth more than three hundred? if so how much more could i get?How to find the value of a Mammoth tusk?
i would take it to a museum, and see what they can tell you. they have to have somebody around who looks at those things and determines if they are real or not, and could tell you where to go beyond that if you wanted to sell it. they have to because they need somebody around to check all the stuff they put in the museum. How to find the value of a Mammoth tusk?
I checked out EBay, and a woman is trying to sell a similarly sized Indian elephant tusk for $825.

Any object is worth what you can get someone to pay for it. At the local mall (Glendale Galleria), there used to be a fossil store. If your local mall has one, you might ask them.
If you have a Mammoth tusk, it's worth more that a couple of hundred bucks. Looks are deceiving, get in touch with your local museum, and go from there. Zoo's or the zoology department of the major University in your area might shed some light on your tusk. Just make sure your not holding a stolen artifact.
if its genuine it will be a lot more than 300 more like 3000 .maybe more

there is the ivory value as well as the prehistoric value

are you sure it is mammoth they are very big and cured like over 4 meters
